In the second leg showdown of the UEFA Champions League, Bayern secures another win and remains undefeated in any Champions League knockout game under their second year manager Hansi Flick. The clubs Porto, Dortmund, PSG, Chelsea, Bayern, Real, Liverpool, City advance to the top 8 of the tournament after defeating their various opponent teams. Juventus lost to away goals despite winning the second leg of their match. On a brighter note, Bayern won efficiently with the maximum number of goals in the aggregate which is six. This shows that Bayern is once again in it to win it. Barcelona tied with PSG thanks to Messi’s efforts of scoring a goal, but they still lost the aggregate disgracefully with a 5-2.

City and Bayern are dominating in the UCL

Both Messi and Ronaldo aren’t in the quarters of the UCL for the first time in 16 years. The last time the two greatest weren’t in the League was in 2005 when Messi’s Barca was bested by Chelsea and Ronaldo’s Man United by AC Milan. With this loss for the two G.O.A.T.s, Haaland and Mbappe are being considered the Messi and Ronaldo of new Gen football. This doesn’t change the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo is still amazing and managed to surpass Pele as the top scorer in the history of world football. He was even congratulated by Pele himself for this groundbreaking achievement.

In their respective country leagues, Bayern and City are dominating the Bundesliga and Premier Leagues. Elsewhere in Spain, Barca is tailing Atletico Madrid with a 4 point difference. But most surprising of all, Lille is on top of Ligue One but PSG is right behind them and can catch up with one win if Lille loses one game. In fact, PSG just beat Lille 3-0 in the French cup’s RO16. So, it’s safe to say Lille has to be aware of PSG if they want to win the Ligue.

The summer transfer market is soon to open so as always transfer talks have begun. Dortmund released Haaland with a 150 million tag and there are rumors of him joining Barcelona. According to Marca, Barcelona is ready to sell some of its heavyweight players if that can convince Haaland to join the Spanish club. Signing the young Norweigan is now Barcelona’s top priority and with Messi coming to his retiring age, they expect Haaland to carry on his legacy. The New Barcelona president Laporta also wishes Messi to stay at Barcelona and end his career with his lifelong club. But there are rumors about Neymar and Mbappe are asking him to join PSG. Not only that, but Messi is also being linked with transfer rumors to Man City to join his fellow Argentinian Aguero and former coach, Pep Guardiola.
