With the first stage of UCL at an end, it’s time for the round of 16 which may be the most exciting round, besides the final match of course. This years group winners include PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Juventus, Liverpool, Barcelona, Red Bull Leizpig and Valencia. The Runners-up include Real Madrid, Tottenham, Atalanta, Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Dortmund, Lyon and Chelsea. This gives us a pool full of opportunities for the RO16 but there’s a few standard rules in place that you may have forgotten.

No team can play against a team from their main league which means we won’t see any spicy Premier or La Liga matches. But that doesn’t stop us from hoping for a Chelsea v Barca match or a Liverpool V real match. The possibilities are a handful but they’re still good enough. The teams also can’t play a team that they were paired up with in the first round, so no more Chelsea v Valencia matches either.

The RO16 draw will be held at Nyon, Switzerland at UCL’s headquarters at 10 pm on 16th December. Stay tuned to find who’s playing who in the next round of the Champions.
